Once upon a time—back in the fall of 1999—a wide-eyed young open mic’er named Erin Bennett began her comedic journey. Armed with a self-proclaimed moniker, Gigglechick, and a passion for connecting the comedy community, she launched Gigglechick’s [Semi] World Famous Open Mic Listings. It was a labor of love, fueled by caffeine and questionable sleep habits, as she manually maintained every single listing for over a decade—all while juggling a day job and freelance gigs.
Fast-forward to today — and out of the 3rd person.
I’m back, folks! Yep, it’s me, Gigglechick, stepping into the Land of Listings once more. But this time, we’re doing things differently. Instead of me losing my mind curating it all manually, I’m handing over the reins to you—so you can create and edit your own mics.
About Memberships… and Fees (or a Lack Thereof, for Now…)
It’s FREE to hunt (aka Search) for Open Mics on here! Have at it Mic Hunters! (If you want to favorite or save a mic, you will have to register.)
Mic Listers — please add your open mics… without YOU, this site would just be a purple and pink shell with a sassy name. The goal is to have it so you have control over your listing. You will be able to edit it and and the SEO won’t be a bad thing either with the searches! More eyes on your open mics!
Let me open up a little here, I’ve already sunk about $600 into getting this set up. While that’s currently my debt to shoulder, breaking even would definitely be nice. Just putting that out there.

A little history: 2013 was a rough year. To start, another B.S. mic site had popped up, blatantly swiping all the open mics information I’d compiled over the years. I lost the domain Gigglechick.com because I was broke, and someone over in China swooped in and snatched it up. Son of a —-! The listings were gone. Boo hoo hoo.
Now it’s nearing the end of 2024… I’m a bit of a procrastinator. But, better late than never.
